瑞士再保险集团CEO缪汶乐：让21世纪更具韧性

Winter Olympics． This spirit is exactly what we need in this post-pandemic era． I’m no stranger to China， so it is always a privilege to be invited back．

I have visited Beijing for the first time over 15 years ago and was very impressed and fascinated by the people and the culture． I have returned many times to China since then and I am looking forward to being back in the near future．

At Swiss Re， our vision is to make the world more resilient． As one of the world‘s leading providers of reinsurance， we have enabled societies to thrive and progress， creating new opportunities and solutions for our clients， for over 150 years． We also have longstanding business ties with China， which can be traced back 90 years． Today， we are strongly growing our presence and making more investments in China， with continuous efforts to build partnerships for progress with our Chinese stakeholders．

Looking ahead， we continue to view China as one of the most exciting markets globally． It plays a very important role in our ambitions for the future． In short， we want to bring the very best quality risk transfer products and tools to our Chinese clients and partners． There are many issues common to both Switzerland and China： sustainability and the transition to Net-Zero as well as issues associated with ageing populations to name just a few． Swiss Re can play a role in ensuring tangible progress is made on these and many other issues． International cooperation and collaboration are needed to overcome our shared challenges．

The forum is a great platform on which to build even deeper understanding， cooperation and trust as we move forward “together for a shared future”． I am pleased to see these themes are well covered at CDF 2022． Again， I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the CDF for inviting me． I look forward to meeting old and new friends during the sessions very soon． I am sure that CDF 2022 will be another great success． And with that I wish you all an enjoyable， enlightening， and inspiring experience here at the CDF．
